This work explores whether visual art belongs solely to those with ideal vision and raises the question of whether visually impaired individuals should also have the right to images. The existence of visually impaired photographers demonstrates their need for visual expression, with the camera serving as a visual aid that enables them to showcase their inner creativity. For the visually impaired, photography is not only a means of artistic expression but also a tool for claiming image rights and rejecting passive objectification. The project employs AI image description technology to convert photos into text, facilitating a visual-auditory transformation that minimizes the visual disparity for the visually impaired. Using convolutional neural networks (CNN) to extract image features and natural language processing (NLP) to generate text, combined with poetry to annotate the photos, the work expresses the synesthetic experience of the photographers. As the database grows, this technology becomes an essential tool for visually impaired photographers to assert their image rights.
